Hidden River Events is a 16+ acre event center/farm and outdoor wedding venue in North Carolina. Ceremony sites include long-range views of the Craggy Mountains, flower gardens, and nurturing ceremony sites next to the Swannanoa River.

We will be closed in 2025 for renovations and will reopen in late April 2026 with refreshed and refined offerings, drawing from our 18 years of experience with stress-free weddings. Choose from site rental only for a DIY event or our Mountain Elegance Package for a fully stress-free, cost-saving event.

Hidden River is easily accessible, and once here, your guests will not want to leave. The on-site accommodations have some of the best views in the region, overlooking the Swannanoa Valley. The architectural tent (one of only a few in the country with its design) has a 5000 sf permanent concrete pad and all the infrastructure needed for up to 200-person events.

At Hidden River, elevate your wedding experience beyond a mere four to five-hour affair, reduce stress, and save money. Our Saturday events include two days of access to the venue and three nights of on-site housing three to five vacation rental houses, allowing you a leisurely pace or the option of multiple events. Sunday-Tuesday weddings have the option of on-site houses, and Wednesday weddings have the option of multiple houses and multiple nights, just like Saturday, but with great cost savings.  (And Wednesday weddings are supposed to be good luck!) Most of the infrastructure necessary for your event is included. (see list below)

Mountain Elegance
Full Service Package

Saturday and Wednesday “Mountain Elegance Full Service Packages” include

  • the night prior for a DIY rehearsal dinner on site
  • the morning after for a Morning After Brunch
  • up to 6 hours for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception
  • up to 4 hours for an on-site Rehearsal dinner the night prior
  • nearly everything couples need for their ceremony and reception (food, flowers, dessert, photography, event management, etc.)


Sunday-Tuesday events
have the option of including one house or not and can contract for either the full-service Mountain Elegance package or a site rental-only package.

Basic Infrastructure Included:

  • Up to 150 brown wooden cross-back chairs

  • Up to 60 candlesticks (High Quality LED candles included)

  • Up to 150 white folding chairs for the ceremony
  • Up to 5 6’ folding rectangular tables
  • Mix and match vintage plates (dinner and salad) for up to 150 people
  • Utensils (fork, knife, spoon) for up to 150
  • Up to 150 vintage goblets and up to 150 beverage glasses
  • Cake stand
  • 1 birdcage for guest cards

Labor:

  • A venue representative present during the time of your event solely for the purposes of information and to inspect all infrastructure used by the client at once the event ends. All other labor related to the event: set up, clean up, decorating, etc. is the responsibility of the client.

Vendors:

  • Preferred Event Planner with up to 20 hours of planning included, with week and day of coordinating (additional hours can be added)
  • Set up and take down of Reception Site and Ceremony Site, washing of included dishware, utensils, and glassware
  • Labor to bus and serve the menu
  • Greeter and Electric Vehicle shuttle driver
  • Remaining food prepped to go at the event end or donated to Rescue Mission
  • Remaining flowers prepped to go at the event end or donated to Hospice
  • Ceremony Direction at Rehearsal and Ceremony
  • Flowers for tables, 3 bouquets, 3 boutonnieres (loosely arranged in a kind of wildflower look), additions and upgrades possible
  • Choice of two menus: BBQ or Fajita Bar (upgrades and customization can be made during the planning period)
  • Bartending Service
  • Wedding Cake

DIY Site Rental only

Saturday and Wednesday events include the night prior for a DIY rehearsal dinner on site. Saturday has up to 6 hours for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception and Friday night includes up to 4 hours for an on-site Rehearsal dinner.

  • A venue representative present during the time of your event solely for the purposes of information and to inspect all infrastructure used by the client at once the event ends. All other labor related to the event: set up, clean up, decorating, etc. is the responsibility of the client.
  • A venue representative will also schedule and conduct one meeting (up to 2 hours) wherein the client and/or their designated representative, along with the Hidden River to the Heart Event Manager, go over all expectations related to the use of the venue. Additional hours can be added at $100/hour
